How I got here

I graduated from University in 2007 with a first-class honours degree in Graphic Communication. To me, this title perfectly sums up the value of good design. Because, done well, design is one of the key ways we communicate. Good graphic design says something about you and speaks to the people you want to reach.

My work has included everything from business branding and marketing materials to personal stationery, packaging, websites and lots more unusual projects. I have worked with a range of companies from all over the world and take pride in the on-going relationships I have with them. I have also designed a font that has been used by Diesel, House of Fraser and McDonalds and downloaded more than 650,000 times worldwide.

I’ve worked in agencies, including five years as head of design at Cardiff University Students’ Union, and as a freelancer. And I’ve worked for clients in the UK and worldwide. This breadth of experience has helped me develop my expertise (although I’m constantly challenging myself to learn more) in both design and in delivering the best service I can to my clients.

How I work

I live in South Wales but work for companies all over the world. These days, with the help of Skype and FaceTime I can work for you wherever you are.

I match the service I provide to your individual needs. I can work on small, one-off projects or with your business in the long term, giving you continued support as your brand develops.

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is the planning I do before starting on the design. I spend this time getting to know you, what you want and need from your design and key things such as the position your business has in the market.

Throughout the whole design process I’ll keep in regular contact with you and encourage you to do the same with me. If you have a new idea or would like some advice, don’t hesitate to get in touch. While I’m working for you I’m part of your team and will be happy to talk to you at any time.

I’ll also liaise with everyone else involved and manage the project for you, saving you the time and hassle of managing it yourself.

How I charge

Every project I work on is different. Even though I can provide two clients with the same product, for example a logo, their business and what they want from their design is unique to them. 

So, apart from my start-up packages, I have no flat fees. I charge according to each project and can only give you an accurate quote when I’ve talked to you and understand more about what you need.

Crucially, my fees are not inflated by agency overheads.
